MOQ, MOA and box quantity describe three different order limits. MOQ is the minimum number of units of one item. MOA is the minimum value accepted for an order. Box quantity is the number of units packed in a full shipping carton. Buyers should confirm all three before approving a Korean cosmetics wholesale order.

These terms are easy to confuse because a quotation can use more than one of them at the same time. A buyer may meet the total order value but still order too few units of one product. Another buyer may meet an item MOQ but need to adjust the quantity so it fits full cartons.

What does MOQ mean?

MOQ means minimum order quantity. It normally refers to the smallest quantity accepted for a particular product or SKU.

For example, if an item has an MOQ of 24 units, a request for 12 units may not be accepted. The MOQ can differ between products from the same brand, and it can change with current supply conditions. It should therefore be confirmed for the exact item and quantity in your request.

What does MOA mean?

MOA means minimum order amount. It is a value requirement rather than a unit requirement.

SuperKos uses a minimum acceptable order of US$500. Product-level MOQ, current availability and wholesale price are confirmed after the buyer provides the brand, item names or product links, and estimated quantities.

Meeting the minimum order amount does not automatically remove product-level MOQs or full-box requirements. All applicable conditions need to be checked together.

What is box quantity?

Box quantity is the number of units packed in one full carton. Some products may need to be ordered in complete cartons or in multiples of the carton quantity.

Suppose a carton contains 12 units and the item MOQ is 24 units. The practical order quantity may be 24 units, or two full cartons. This is only an explanation of the calculation, not a quotation or a statement about a specific product.

A useful wholesale quotation should show enough information for the buyer to understand each accepted item, its quantity and its price. Where a box rule applies, ask the supplier to explain it before payment.

Why can MOQ and box quantity change?

Requirements can vary by brand, product, packaging and current availability. Territory policies may also affect whether a brand or item can be supplied to a destination market. This is why a general catalogue or an old price list should not be treated as final confirmation.

SuperKos checks availability, product-level MOQ and wholesale price for the actual items and quantities requested. Confirmed items are then shown in the quotation or proforma invoice.

What should you send for an accurate check?

Send a simple product list containing:

• the brand name;
• the exact item name or product link;
• your estimated quantity for each item;
• your destination country or market; and
• any full-box, document or forwarder requirement you need confirmed.

Clear item information reduces unnecessary messages and makes it easier to identify quantity conflicts before an order is confirmed.

• Is the MOQ stated for each individual SKU?
• Does the order have a separate minimum value?
• Must any item be ordered in full cartons?
• Does the quotation show the accepted quantity and wholesale price?
• Has current availability been confirmed?
• Are shipping and payment conditions written clearly?
